Our Mission

The National Association of the Parallel Importers in Bulgaria (NAPIB) is the professional and representative voice of parallel trade in the country. Through national associations and individual company membership, it encompasses over 15 firms. All products handled by NAPIB members have national or EU regulatory approval and are exclusively sourced from and sold to Bulgaria using authorised trade channels.

NAPIB's primary aims are to safeguard the free movement of branded goods, as laid down in Article 28 EC, and to counteract any attempts to restrict the freedom of choice for the consumer through trading patterns in breach of Articles 81 EC Treaty & 82 EC Treaty. The Association believes that free trade is based on the principle of free movement of goods and has contributed to the development of the Internal Market to the extent that more products at different prices move from one national market to the other and are thus available to the purchaser

As a professional body, the NAPIB mission is to review, evaluate and react to all developments that affect parallel trade with brand products, to keep its members informed and involved, and to represent their interests with appropriate organisations at national and European level.

The NAPIB and its national member organisations actively encourage co-operations - at an EU and national level - with all relevant and interested parties such as governments, authorities as well as professional and patient/consumer organisations.
